Assembly of SMD components
SMD stands for Surface Mounted Device. These are assembly parts that are placed directly on the PCB and soldered on their connection surfaces.
You do not need connetcing wires for this method, this allows to assemble the parts very close and from both sides. This makes the parts smaller, lighter and because of that cheaper.
This technology allows the fully automatic assembly of very small size components to large elements with several 100 connection points.
Our own SMD line enables us a cost-effective production of your prototypes and series.
Up to 8000 components per hour are assembled and the precise position is visually measured.
PCBs up to 400 x 600 mm and components from a size of 0402 for fine pitch and BGA are processed.
The PCBs are procured from a few carefully selected suppliers. By a series requirement and best price, a lead time between 3 and 4 weeks can be counted on.
Steam soldering
With the steam soldering system we reach the highest solder qualities contingent of the process:
- The soldering takes place under completion of oxygen
- Homogeneous temperature distribution prevents mechanical stress
- Lower thermal component stress, even under leadfree solder compared to convection soldering
- An automatic in-line operation provides for rationality
The steam soldering is lead free and preserves the environment. The small demand of energy also means small costs, anyway it is possible to solder complex assembly parts. Overheating is impossible with this method, also because of this is it one of the safest soldering methods.
Screen process
The precise printing of the soldering paste is completed using a modern screen printer. This is also effcient with small products.
