A competent partner for implementation of your requirements for PC compatible control modules
Baudisch Electronic has developed and produced over 10 years of PC-based assemblies for applications in industrial, communication and security technology as well as data technology. The strategy here is the combination of the motherboard with the customer application on a single PCB:
The single board solution.
The implementation is space-saving due to the correct placement of all necessary components.
No compromises are needed based on existing form factors.
The elimination of connectors and cabling saves money and increases the operational reliability dramatically.
The custom design pays off even in small quantities with consistent applications:
Development costs are amortized after some 100-series.
Baudisch Electronic offers you the latitude and independence of your own design.
PC-based hardware - X86-compatible
PC-based technology stands for an X86 compatibility of the processor system. It has decisive advantages:
- The software development is greatly simplified.
- Programs are tested on standard PCs and then installed on the end device.
- Existing programs free of charge, program parts or drivers are available.
- Interfaces and methods are compatible.
- Development tools ( Compiler, Debugger ) are considerably less expensive than the versions for special processors.
- Engineers and technicians for these platforms are easier to recruit.
DM&P Vortex 86DX
Vortex 86DX is a BGA chip, which combines many essential industrial PC components in one housing.
On this basis, we offer powerful assemblies and devices with a clock frequency up to 1 GHz - from our own development and manufacturing.
Decision criteria for the 86DX
Low purchasing costs
The following costs of conventional CPUs are already included in the delivery of the 86DX:
- Processor up to 1 GHz
- Ethernet controller
- MAC addresses / EEPROM
- BIOS flash / BIOS license
- IO-module / USB / SD
Technology
X86 compatibility: the most successful processor platform since 1980.
Energy efficiency: 2.02 watt at 800 MHz. It not only saves electricity but also reduces the cost of switching controllers and peripherals.
Only a few additional components necessary.
Free drivers & support
The manufacturer DM & P provides a broad range of tools, images, and support on its homepage.
10 years Life Cycle Support (2008-2017) is offered for the 86DX.
Baudisch Electronic is available as an efficient partner.
AMD SC520
This processor of the middle performance class allows versatile products by frequencies up to 133 MHz.
Five different assemblies with various peripherals or custom design are available for applications.
Universal platform BCC3
The Baudisch Control Center Generation 3 ( BCC3 ) allows as standard hardware versatile solutions based on a single PCB design.
You decide which assembly version based on the requirement ( currently 31 options ).
Additional interfaces and features are supplemented with rapidly implemented sandwich modules.
