RFID systems

The transponder technology used by Baudisch offers a number of advantages:

• The detection of a transponder is contact-free, which means no wear on the transponder or reader.
• No PIN has to be memorised.
• No contacts are contaminated or oxidised.
• Saved information can not be deleted or destroyed by magnetic fields.

The procedure

Each transponder is pre-programmed individually with its own key number. A transponder reader generates a weak magnetic field with a range of few cm. Now, if a transponder is held in this magnetic field, the internally stored key number in the transponder chip is transmitted to the transponder reader. The transmission from transponder to transponder reader is via air. The reader records this number and reports it together with its own code to a central unit. This central unit collects working hours and decides further over the authorisation of the imported combination of "key" and "lock". Doors are opened or remain closed accordingly.

Transponder

Doors and gates can be opened quickly and safely with a transponder chip on a key chain and a reader on the wall. The transponders emit a secure coded message to the RFID reader and each transponder has been assigned a unique code number. The transponder readers need no batteries and are robust and waterproof.

The prerequisite is an electric door opener which is triggered from our central unit.

Transponder reader

RFID rail

The transponder reader ID6 rail is a free-standing version for the use on railways with a temperature range up to -40°C.

Maintenance personnel of the railway operates the ID6 to trigger certain functions along the track.

Machine logins

For machinery and equipment, we provide readers where the transponders are inserted into a slot.

Certain processing steps are only possible as long as the qualified person is logged in. In addition, this process is documented.

RFID switch

Our transponder switches are mounted in front of the prison cell doors. Before an employee enters the cell, he triggers this switch.

A time assurance follows until he has left the cell again.
