Same size, more possibilities...
With its dimensions of 146 x 146 mm, the device complies with the size of many passive door signs. It ideally integrates itself into the existing environment.
With a height of only 16 mm, the surface does not stand out outside the frame construction - an important feature of good architecture.
Of course there is no wall breakout necessary, the mounting is easily done with four screws on the wall surface.
Simple installation
Door signs of the DS-146 series rely on a simple cable with four wires ( telephone cable, ribbon cable ) for power and data.
This feed cable is led to a suitable site for a power supply. This allows the common supply of multiple door signs.
From this location, the data transfer to the IP network is similarly implemented without great burden via wireless LAN or Ethernet. One IP port is sufficient for 63 door signs.
Your advantage to data security and sabotage protection: The IP connection must not be installed in the insecure area of a hallway.
Wireless electronic door signs require a battery for the power supply. The regular replacement of these batteries pollute the environment and create significant operational costs of the system. In addition, a self-illumination of the display is not possible. Also, the data replication can not be made as often in order to save the battery.
Applications
The door signs are in large part over parameters adjustable for various tasks. Typical applications are:
- Dynamic office use “Shared Office”
Employees who primarily work in field sales receive dynamically assigned offices as needed. The corresponding name and presence are shown on the display.
- Organisation of conference rooms
Besides the display of room occupancy, the interactive control of the sensor buttons directly on the door sign allow the occupancy ( please do not disturb ) or availabilty of a room.
As an additional benefit, instructions and messages ( please clean up ) can also be shown.
- Display of room occupancy in hospitals and nursing homes.
Constantly changing occupancy is directly controlled via the centralized IT system. It results in a considerable rationalization and a much better visitor experience.
- Additional applications with transponders
After operating the transponder at the appropriate reader, further display and control options are given which are useful for applications such as nurse call and caring documents.
Material
The door signs DS146 are made out of solid aluminium and finished with a polish and anodized surface.
The cover glass with its processed surface on the side is made out of special acrylic and is barely indistinguishable from real glass.
This gives the product its elegant looks and high quality presentation.
General features of the system
Baudisch.RoomControl is a dynamic information system based on electronic door signs, combined if necessary with efficient access to transponder technology.
- The combination of an LCD display area within a printed label sheet allows a graphical representation of high-quality corporate identity and corporate design without programming.
- The elegant housing concept with cover glass allows a graphical representation in a maximum space - there are no screws, mounting elements or other visible housing parts.
- By acoustic versions of „ring tones“ at the door sign, the attention is drawn to text messages and special displays.
- The steplessly variable LED illumination, displays all information clearly, even with bad lighting conditions or darkness.
- The simple cross wiring with a 4-core communication cable makes the door sign maintenance free - no batteries are needed and dynamically changing information is visulized within a few milliseconds. In addition, the function of the system is constantly monitored.
In addition to direct controlling at the door sign, reservations and text messages can be controlled via a Windows software. Coordinated system interfaces allow direct access to software solutions with calendar such as Outlook or Notes.
Of course, the door sign can also be used as a digital clock. The exact time is then synchronized with a time server on the Internet ( such as the PTB in Braunschweig ) via the RoomDispatcher by NTP.
Its price/performance ratio makes this door sign attractive - it thus enables applications with a variety of rooms or doors, in which classical systems with screens for cost reasons, can not be realized.
